“Gender research center” (GRC) operates in Azerbaijan Academy of Labour and Social Relations. The purpose of the creating center is to research problems in gender fields in Azerbaijan, to analyzes the measures and reforms carried out in the country, to perform with new ideas and thoughts, to deliver different offers to relevant authorities, to find the ways of elimination of violence between the sexes in the society, to do educational works among the students in forming gender culture. That`s why a lot of specialists and students are involved to the centre.

There was held a republic conference on the theme of “The gender problems in Azerbaijan; the current situation and the development on the main directions” with the line of center three times in Academy. The works of “Woman; in family, in society, in education, in religion, in literature” and “Gender Asymmetry” were written by the teachers of Academy.
