On January 21, 2026, the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, awarded a group of well-known Azerbaijani and Turkish scholars and researchers who contributed to the preparation and publication of the monograph entitled “Common Identity and Philosophical Heritage: The History of Thought in Turkic Culture.”
Prepared by renowned scholars of the two brotherly countries — Professor Mahira Huseynova, Associate Professor Elvin Talyshinski, PhD holders Baha Ahmet Yılmaz, Fərahilə Babayeva-Shükürova, Shahismayil Ismayilov, and Cihangir İşbilir, as well as other researchers — the English-language monograph entitled “Common Identity and Philosophical Heritage: The History of Thought in Turkic Culture” was published in Turkey. Opening the event with a brief introductory speech, the President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, first emphasized that the published monograph “Common Identity and Philosophical Heritage: The History of Thought in Turkic Culture” is not only a scientific study but also an important event that strengthens the cultural and intellectual unity of the Turkic world. He noted that the historical significance of the monograph lies in its examination of the shared past, common culture, and intellectual heritage of Turkic peoples, in strengthening their historical memory, and in clearly revealing the role of philosophical thought in the formation of national identity, thereby making an important contribution to the systematization of the common roots of Turkic peoples.
In the award section held on this AALSR , the President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, first awarded the former Ambassador of Turkey to our country, the scientific reviewer of the monograph “Common Identity and Philosophical Heritage: The History of Thought in Turkic Culture,” Hulusi Kılıç, and Professor Mahira Huseynova with commemorative badges established on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of ANAS. Other scholars who supported the creation of the book, as well as researchers cooperating in the development of science, were presented with “Certificates of Honor” and “Letters of Appreciation” from ANAS and the BZT Turan Academy.
It should also be noted that the leadership of the BZT Turan Academy, which cooperates with the Center for Support of Sustainable Identifiers operating at the Azerbaijan Academy of Labor and Social Relations, presented a special letter of appreciation to Khayala Mammadova, Vice-Rector of AALSR for International Relations, for the high-quality services provided by the center in the development of publications.
