The Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHİK) consistently and systematically implements measures to protect the labor rights of its members, ensure decent working conditions, maintain occupational safety, and organize meaningful leisure activities, while also protecting health and facilitating effective rest. Within this framework, the conditions at treatment and recreation centers are continuously enhanced.

At AHİK’s “Günəşli” Health Center, located in the Mardakan settlement of Baku’s Khazar District, facilities have been significantly upgraded and the infrastructure modernized. The center is fully equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology.

Delegates from AHİK, relevant government agencies, and the National Assembly reviewed the developments and operational work at the center.

It has been reported that the “Günəşli” Health Center comprises an administrative building, two residential blocks, a medical treatment building, a diagnostic center, a club, as well as dance and sports grounds. In total, the center has 133 rooms with 243 beds. Specializing in the treatment of nervous system disorders, the center provides physiotherapy services, therapeutic naftalan, paranaft, and mineral water baths. In addition, procedures such as cedar barrel therapy, acupuncture, biopuncture, lymphatic drainage, neuroson, ozone therapy, inhalation, and other therapeutic and preventive treatments are offered.

It has been reported that one of the residential blocks, previously in a dilapidated condition, has been fully reconstructed and upgraded to meet modern standards. The block now comprises 50 rooms with a total of 80 beds and is equipped with all essential facilities. Newly fitted medical, massage, and bath rooms, along with fully equipped physiotherapy cabinets, are available to serve patients.

Furthermore, the area’s infrastructure has been upgraded: internal roads have been resurfaced with new asphalt, landscaping has been enhanced with trees and ornamental shrubs, the lighting system has been modernized, and the water supply improved. The health center is also equipped with Wi-Fi, IP telephony, and a comprehensive security camera system.
