On June 11, 2025, an event dedicated to the implementation of practically oriented and interdisciplinary international programs was held at the Academy of Labor and Social Relations of the Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation.
The meeting was attended by the leadership of the Academy, the teaching staff, as well as representatives of “HBN Group” LLC.
Speaking at the event, Associate Professor Yusif Aghayev, acting rector of the Academy, emphasized the importance of forming a highly qualified workforce in ensuring sustainable development of society in the conditions of increasing labor market demands. He noted that education based on international standards has a significant impact on the creation of new jobs, increasing labor productivity and social welfare.
During the event, presentations were made about the IOSH organization, the leader in Europe in terms of the number of occupational health and safety specialists, as well as Cisco Systems, the global leader in network technologies and Internet equipment, by Tariyel Dovletov, executive director of “HBN Group” LLC, and Cisco expert Farid Amirov. Participants, in addition to getting acquainted with international experiences, had the opportunity to communicate directly with professionals and get detailed answers to their questions.
Taking the floor, Saadat Aliyeva, Head of the Department of Advanced Training and Retraining of Trade Union Personnel and Activists of the Azerbaijan Academy of Trade Unions, highly appreciated this initiative. She emphasized that bringing training programs of such prestigious organizations as IOSH and CISCO to the Academy and creating examination centers based on them serves two important purposes: on the one hand, it expands access to the most relevant and useful trainings, and on the other hand, it creates conditions for the knowledge and skills of both students and employees to be confirmed with international certificates.
It was stated that thanks to the mentioned initiatives, future training participants will have the opportunity to significantly increase their competitiveness not only within the country, but also in the international labor market.
