A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Academy of Labor and Social Relations of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHIK) and BP.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Confederation Sahib Mammadov pointed the favorable conditions created for the effective activity of trade unions in our country and emphasized the special attention and care shown by Mr. President Ilham Aliyev to this area.
The event discussed the reforms carried out in the trade union system and the projects implemented, and highlighted the activities of the "Kurort" Tourism Information Center, as well as the Labor Protection and Legal Assistance Center. It was noted that complex measures are being taken to protect the labor, social and economic rights of union members, protect their health, treat and effectively organize their recreation.
It was emphasized that the AHIK attaches special importance to cooperation with the private sector, and supports the unification of workers in this field in trade unions. The Chairman of the Confederation provided information on the work done to improve the quality of education at the Azerbaijan Academy of Labor and Social Relations, and noted that the newly established Center for Advanced Training and Personnel Development at the Academy has already become a convenient platform for trainings, seminars and exchange of experience in various fields.
The event also highlighted the importance of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between BP and the Azerbaijan Academy of Labor and Social Relations, noting that the document will create broad opportunities for strengthening mutual relations, cooperation and exchange of useful experience.
Then, video materials were shown on the activities of the AHIK, as well as “Decent Work Ambassadors”, “With Care from Colleague to Colleague” and “AHIK Plus” Projects.
BP's Vice President for Communications and External Relations in the Caspian Region, Bakhtiyar Aslanbeyli, spoke about the company's contribution to the development of the Azerbaijani economy and oil and gas industry, its initiatives aimed at human capital in our country, especially its support for education and vocational training, and highly appreciated the projects implemented by the Confederation.
Finally, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Azerbaijan Academy of Labor and Social Relations and BP.
The document was signed by Yusif Aghayev, Acting Rector of the Academy, and Bakhtiyar Aslanbeyli, Vice President of BP for Communications and External Relations in the Caspian Region.
The Memorandum will be beneficial for both parties, based on concrete results in areas such as organizing educational and internship programs, implementing joint projects, and supporting innovative initiatives.
