The Department of “General Mathematics and Natural Sciences” began operating on a public basis in 2006 due to the low workload, and was established as an independent department under the Academy on September 16, 2011. Changes were made to the curriculum in the department in connection with the changes in the State Standard in 2004, 2009, 2014 and 2020.

Since 2019, the name of the Department of “General Mathematics and Natural Sciences” has been changed and it has started operating under the name of “General Subjects” with a new staff.

Since December 28, 2021, the name of the Department of “General Subjects” has been changed and the Department of “Mathematics and Information Technologies” has been established with a new staff.

The subjects taught in the department in all specialties of the Academy are taught at a high level in accordance with the State Standard.
