The organization and planning of scientific-research works of Azerbaijan Academy of Labour and Social Relations are carried out according to the Regulation “About organization and planning of scientific-research works in higher educational institutions”. The Аcademy is guided by the Laws valid on Azerbaijan Republic, the degrees of the President of Azerbaijan Republic, the decisions of the National Assembly, the instructions, decisions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan Republic in its scientific activity.

The Azerbaijan Academy of Labor and Social Relations independently carries out current and prospective planning of scientific research works. Every 5 years, scientific research work has been carried out in the areas determined in the Azerbaijan Academy of Labor and Social Relations. The scientific results of these scientific research works have been summarized and sent to the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
